Crewing

Every semester, new students at RMIT and other universities join RMITV in order to crew on one of our shows. That could be you too!

Do I need experience? Experience is helpful but not essential, at its core RMITV is a training organisation so … get involved! There are many different types of RMITV productions which require many different types of crew roles. Productions completed in-studio usually require a larger crew whereas productions completed on-location usually require a smaller crew.

Crew roles could include:

• Director

• Assistant Director

• Vision Switcher

• Floor Manager

• Camera Operator

• Graphics Operator

• Lighting Director

• Audio Director

• Make-up Artist

• Writer

• Actor

• Editor

… to name just a few. Most productions will also utilise the services of a graphic designer and a composer.
