Inside is a well-directed debut feature that is unforgiving, and filled with stand out moments from the whole cast.

Nothing in the film really ‘fails’, per se, and if there were a universal, objective checklist of things that make a Good Movie–there isn’t, by the way–The Brutalist meets them all.

The Convert wasn’t perfect but its visuals and depiction of the way of life for people in Aotearoa at the time will continue to leave its mark on me.
